An unbelievably huge crowd turned up at the Caravelle for our first full moon run in over six months. Somehow, we managed to cram everybody into the bus, but it was a tight squeeze (which pretty well described Street Peddler by the end of the evening). Luckily, Mrs Nghia had turned up with the big bus after all. The beer was still a worry, though.

After traversing a maze of dark, unlit roads in District 2 just off the Cat Lai road, the bus reached the assigned start point. Once lone Hare Pencil waffled through the run briefing, told the walkers that they were on their own (although he left his little yellow buddy with Street Peddler) and the pack was off, stampeding through the darkness in search of the elusive blobs of flour. In a surprise move, Basil Thrush experienced an attack of athleticism and joined the runners. Fortunately, he came to his senses after a few hundred metres and rejoined the walkers.

Hither and yon, to and fro, and plenty of loops. With a cool breeze coming off th eriver a a three-quarter moon to light the way, the pack made good progress and eventually the runners reached the bus. "Oh, no, not yet!" cried the Hare. "The bus is in the wrong place! Follow me!". Sadly, the bulk of the runners (Erectile Disfunction and Peckerhead) ignored him and only he and Knob Doctor had the endurance to complete the last 400 metres of the run.

The Hash Circle was a short one - the usual abuse for the Hare, more abuse for the canadians and Australians, a lot of social drinking and a quick trip back to town. About 70% of the pack went to the On-On at the new Saigon Barbeque Garden in Mac Dinh Chi St (Peckerhead, who makes up 50% on his own, ED and PD).
