Location: Originally, it was to be along the Vung Tau Road, 9.5 kms from Cora, left and in 1.3 kms (a familiar site, being the location of so many happy Hash Circles in the past). The Hares, however, were informed by the local gendarmerie that Hashing is forbidden in that area on election day. This led to an emergency relocation of the runsite to a point another kilometer down the road.
The Run: Originally planned as two legs, the authorities waylaid the Hash Bus and the run stopped at the waterstop. The run was summarily halted. After fruitless negotiations, everybody piled into the bus or their respective vehicles and retired to the Big Buddha statue a few clicks up the highway to hold the Hash Circle.
Highlights: JGM The Tickler was hauled off to help the local police with their inquiries.
Lowlights: They let him go again.
Hash Circle: JGM Tonto presiding, all the Eurotrash standing in for the Scots, all the Vietnamese for not voting in the election, Charlotte for giving the HCMC expat community so much to talk about.
