Precision laid and exquisitely Hared

A pleasant run of 4.8 km and 4 Km with a remarkably fast first leg (30 mins). The relative cool and low humidity and general enthusiasm of the runners was refreshing ! The second leg was characterised by very few checks and also a fast time; apart from the last 500m, were those mischievous monks tried to fool the Hares by rearranging the paper everything else went well.

The half hour spent at the orphanage provided a welcome cooling off session after the first leg sprint. The kids seemed to enjoy the event, even though this year Santa Claus was too busy to attend; but False Alarm did a fine impromptu impersonation and no one was any the wiser. Me thinks FA should consider a career change, he could certainly make a few bob over Christmas !

The second walking leg was cut disastrously short by the wimpish walking Hares Deadly Nightshade and Friendly Bank. The running Hares had planned a healthy 4.2 Km for the lazy arses back trailing bastards, to allow more beer quaffing time for the running Hounds, but False Alarm scuppered that by showing the Deadly Nightshade a crafty short cut. The lot should have been seriously iced but managed to escape lightly.

Something like $1000, lots of pressies and 4 computers was handed over to the orphanage which was pretty good; perhaps even a record. Lets try and top it next year!

Well done to all who contributed. Those of you who didn’t will undoubtedly go to Hash Hell and sit on ice for all eternity drinking San Miguel whilst us good Samaritans quaff endless mugs of Tiger (Ooops ).
