Once you are honoured to be the Hare, you know you have to do many things, the most difficult of which may be finding a good site for "your" run. To help you, someone, at the moment it is Broken Seal, is recording all past runs on Google Maps. Want to have a look, click on this link

mondayhash Monday Hash Saigon

The Monday Hash Saigon had its first city run on 20th Februrary 2017.

In hashing spirit it 'should' not be competitive and, although we know what boys are like, it will be at a decent pace suitable for all those who want a run. All trails will however have a short cut for those who fail to keep up and do not want to be deprived of the enjoyment hashing brings to people. Everybody is welcome!

The Monday Hash will have a run every week, normally with trails in the city, although the hares are expected to find as many back streets as they possibly can. Keeping away from traffic and pollution is not always impossible.

San Miguel 95 kBOur main sponsor, San Miguel, has requested us to follow them at San Miguel Beer International on Facebook and Like them. With most hashers on Facebook when they are not hashing, it is a small thing to do in return for the free beers we receive every week.
San Miguel also would appreciate your email (to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if you find yourself in a bar with no San Miguel beer on offer, or if there is a problem with the San Miguel supply at that bar.

We are still working on the stats. Something is there, already, but the data are not reliable. For the best stats in town, click on this link.

Discovering amazing running walking trails around Saigon

Welcome to Saigon Hash

logoIf you want to join us just make sure you are at the Caravelle Hotel by 13:45 on the Sunday. Occasionally we might change so always double check our next hash posting.

It is not easy to describe what the Hash really is. Some say it is for cross-country running. That is true, we run every Sunday through the countryside surrounding Ho Chi Minh City. We also have a trail for walkers. Others say that the Hash is a social club, also true. Some say that we are a drinking club, true also as we drink beer (and soft drinks) after each run/walk.

If this sounds good to you, or if you want to try it at least once, so you know what we are talking about, you are very welcome to join us on the bus out to running and walking trails in the countryside. It is great fun and you do not need to be an experienced runner to participate. Trails are 7-9 km (strictly non-competitive) for runners and the walks are usually around 5-6 km.

We meet every Sunday at the Caravelle Hotel in District 1, HCMC. The bus leaves promptly at 2:00 pm. It's best to arrive at around 1:30 -1:45 with the bus returning usually around 7 to 8 pm. Bring running shoes, extra clothes, a great sense of humor and a thirst for some beer wouldn't hurt. Do not forget to bring some money for the hash fees (VND300,000 for expats and only VND150,000 if you are Vietnamese) and some extra if you want to buy T-shirts or other gear from the Haberdash hash shop. {mosmaps}
