Hashing: discovering amazing trails around Saigon like no one else
This Sunday we will start running from the old sugar factory site that is now a temple in Binh Duong. It is traditional long lost hashing territory that The Tickler continues to rediscover, and was also the site of my first hareset 15 years ago. Nice jungly trails bordering the Saigon river opposite Hoc Mun. Be there or be square - no excuses since the Rugby World Cup will have finished.

Location: Dong Nai
On a bright sunny Saturday afternoon a scary looking group of Hashers dressed in black boarded the bus at the Caravelle. Creamy Tulips only just made it due to the fact that she lost time when her watch jumped off her wrist and disappeared without a trace. After picking up more dubious looking Hashers in District 2, and much excitement as Tinky Winky was welcomed back, the bus headed out towards Tri Anh Lake. The intelligent conversation only briefly interrupted by the cries of “are we there yet”.
The lead Hare Fukcoffee had spent hours preparing the route, but in traditional fashion the cohares, Late coming Ball Slapper and Sexy Eyes tried to grab all the glory. The trail was stunning with beautiful views of Ho Song Mai from the Dam, shaded trails thought plantations and along cliffs and winding routes around fish ponds. It starter hot a sticky with much confusion; Hashers running backwards and forwards and people being lost and found. Most of the runners found Jesus on the trail and he provided them with cool beer. Then the heavens opened as he sent the cooling rain for a banana stop. Most of the less sweaty walkers felt this was the perfect time to take a break under the shelter of an old tin roof. Best of all England won the rugby and we missed it :). Peckerhead gave the run -8, Tasters Great gave his run 6, Won Hung High gave the walk 9 and Finger Ring only did half of the figure of 8 run so gave it a score of 0. After some complicated mathematics and some serious head scratching the overall score was deemed to be 1.75.The returnee and Religious Adviser this week was Tinky Winky, he adapted easily to the new caring sharing attitude of the hash introducing the virgins as Nguyen from Vietnam who came with Duong and Adrien from Canada who came with the help of the Internet.
The Hash then discussed the debauchery abounding in the worlds with Asics showing pornography all night on the brand new flagship store in Auckland thanks to an enterprising hacker. The employees were stunned to find such a large group surrounding the entrance to the store when they came to open up but soon realised they weren’t there for the shoes. The circle then moved onto the Chinese composer who dropped his trousers and gave an excellent performance whilst conducting the orchestra at La Scala. There was also some mutual pulling on the hash cutesy of Gobbler, who is recovering from a dry spell and Tinky Winky, who has been let out alone. They mentioned something about a steep hill but by them everyone had stopped listening.
Finally it was time to congratulate Rock Bottom on surviving another year and serenade him in the traditional manner.
Then it was back on the bus and back to Saigon for the On On at Spicy Bistro, which is not dog friendly so I wasn’t allowed in!
That's all for this week.
Sexy Eyes signing off.
